Vehicle Detail
Here is a matching number 1961 Triumph TR5AC Trophy. It is a very rare motorcycle being one of only 600 and something built in 1961 for the US Market. It is the first factory desert sled, giving spiritual birth to the famous TR6SC's T100SC's and of course the venerable TT Special. This one is in rough shape but provides really good bones for a full restoration or even a quick mechanical renovation to make it a patina'ed sled fun for kicking around in the dirt on the weekends. It has matching numbers and many of its original parts and pieces such as the two into one low pipe and the extraordinarily rare tachometer drive cover. The engine is stuck, but I believe it to be the primary or transmission not the top end as the pistons appear clean on the tops. This one was raced hard in its day and put away wet. This is one of the rarest of the unit construction Triumphs and certainly the rarest 500cc Unit Triumph. This one started the desert sled revolution of the 1960s. It has not title although ebay made me put something so I put that it was damaged. I repeat it does not have a title. I will give a proper bill of sale and if it is a California buyer I can provide a Reg262 which is an official California document that makes your DMV visit that much easier. This bike can be shipped all over the globe and I can help arrange this shipping for a small fee. I can help foreign buyers get a title as well, but it will take some time. This sort of thing, shipping titles, bills of sale, etc should be talked about BEFORE you go about bidding and especially winning. Pickup is always welcome as long as full payment is made upon arrival. Cash only if you are picking up.
