I'm helping the family of my buddy that died of cancer This 33 Ford 4-Door is on it's original frame with an 82 Corvette rear end , 355 cu in 300 hp crate motor , 700R4 transmission . The top has been chopped an 1 5/8 " . The speedometer shows 91xxx miles and I know it's been around a couple of times . This car is a driver & not a trailer queen . It's been on the road since June 1989 & has been to so many NSRA events & other rod runs that can't count all of them . The engine has about 70,000 miles , 700R4 has about 50,000 miles & the Corvette Center Section has about 40,000 miles . The Pete & Jake , Superbell Axle was rebuilt with the needle bearing kingpins & new bushings & sleeves in the 4-bars & the GM steering gear was checked & is good & tight . The Corvette outers were originally machined for the ease of maintenance . The car has a large capacity stainless gas tank . It has the safety pins that prevent the suicide doors from accidentally coming open . It has a Digital shift indicator that's mounted in the column drop . I know I'm missing a lot of information so please feel free to ask questions . Car is being sold as is where is . I recommend anyone wanting to buy this car to either come & inspect the car yourself or have someone inspect it for you . I've described the car to the best of my knowledge . I do have more pictures or I can take more pictures on request . This car was built to drive & enjoy and I personally know that it was driven and enjoyed . My butt was in the passenger seat for more than 25,000 miles if not more & we went to Oklahoma City more than a dozen times , same thing with Springfield Missouri , Cedar Rapids Iowa , Tampa Florida , Dallas/FT. Worth , Mississippi and Louisville Kentucky . He went to Wellington Kansas to the Halibrand facility and had the car jacked up to get the back spacing measurements for the wheels to correctly fit the Corvette Rear End & the front wheels to fit under the front fenders without rubbing . ( We made a road trip to Wellington several months before their trip & got a tour of Halibrands facility and got to see the hand made wooden molds for wheels that Halibrand had made for some of the really old Indy cars and for a lot of other wheels also .) From there he , his wife & granddaughter made it on out to the Grand Canyon & that trip was a 5000 mile journey without one single problem and they all really enjoyed the trip and he told me his wife didn't complain about anything and that is a miracle in it's self . Build'em to Drive & Enjoy . This old 33 Sedan is a Survivor and hope the new owner enjoys it as much as it has been enjoyed in the past . The Red paint has been touched-up in a few places , there are some thin places & a few places that could use a little touching up as it's been driven & is showing a little wear . The Leather bucket seats need to be recovered as leather wears out & the carpet needs replacing as his heal of his shoe wore a hole in the carpet . I've loaded & unloaded there before . the entrance on Wildwood to the rear entrance to Academy Sports is level & there's not a problem with the transport truck & trailer bottoming out . This car is roadworthy & I wouldn't be afraid to get in it right now & go anywhere in the United States but I'd stop before crossing the border to Mexico .
