1966 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL CONVERTIBLE You're bidding on a very solid 1966 Lincoln Continental Convertible with relatively low original miles at 70,154. The numbers matching 462 cu. in. 4bbl is mated with a C6 automatic transmission. It runs and drives out nicely. It was born white in color and was repainted red several years ago. The DSO was Jacksonville, FL and spent most of its life there. The body and frame are very solid with no rust issues at all. The chrome, trim and glass are all in very nice condition. The paint job is average but still has great curb appeal and shine. The power convertible top works but one of the solenoids is not functioning at the moment so the top will come 1/2 of the way closed, but won't complete its cycle, so the owner just leaves it down. The top itself is still in very good condition with no rips or tears. The interior is pretty nice with one small tear in the driver seat. The instrument panel shows signs of some wear but not too bad for its age. The dash pad still looks very nice with no cracks. The undercarriage is solid with just the normal dirt and grime. The A/C compressor spins but is not blowing cold. Overall, this Continental has "good bones" as they say and could be left as it is and enjoyed or would be a solid candidate for a restoration project.
