1998 BMW F650 Funduro - the original F series GS (it is even in the BMW factory history coffee table book). Adventure touring / dual sport bike in very good condition. Has: 1. Hella 12v PowerLet outlet for powering USB chargers, GPS, heated clothing, etc. 2. dual CREE 6 LED driving lights for safety. 3. Custom hard aluminum silver trunk (made from a US Army night vision goggle case, has worked very well on several trips). 4. Brand new 804/805 Shinko big block tires (maybe 100 miles on front and 250 on rear max; not in most pics since they were just put on at end of last season by Z Performance in Dayton OH) (( Cost $300 mounted/pair)). 5. Lowered with factory lowering dogbone (my wife is 5' 6" and fits her perfectly - I can most likely locate the original dogbone to raise it back up). 6. Huge F650 Tank Bag with side pockets (very rare and pricey). 7. SuperMotard front fender to replace the original (to prevent clogging with mud on dirt roads). 8. Rear lower fender that wrapped around the tire (a German law requirement) has been removed, as these also collect mud and dirt. 9. Lots of reflectors and reflective tape (on rear trunk, front forks, etc). 10. Battery tender pigtail (battery tender is not included - just the pigtail). I'm sure there are a few things I'm missing. The bad: could use a chain - sprockets are in good shape though. Seat cover could be replaced at some time ($40 on Ebay). Cracked rear turn signal lens ($15 or so; still functions perfectly fine). I was a motorcycle mechanic for a few years and I would be comfortable buying this bike (as evidenced by the fact that I bought it for my wife). This is my wife's bike. She has had it for almost 2 years and has loved it, but we have land in Colorado and she's opted to get something a bit more off-road worthy. She's put about 3500 miles on it since we got it, and is only selling it since she's getting a DR650. This is an amazing opportunity to get an awesome bike that has only been adult ridden (previous owner was a gentleman in his 60s in WV). It is in great shape and I would not hesitate to ride it anywhere. I will be glad to ride it to you anywhere within 250 miles of Dayton OH.
