Vehicle Detail
Please read the entire ad before bidding. This vehicle is sold with a bill of sale. This is not your Granpa's ride. This is one of the best styled pieces of American automotive history to ever leave Flint, Michigan. It's 100% American steel made right here in the USA. You haven't seen body lines like this since Kate Moss or Marilyn Monroe. If you like attention everywhere you go, this car is for you. Is it quick? Lets be realistic, its quick for being 53 years old and around 4,000 pounds. It was considered a fast luxury car, and pure beauty in its time. By luxury it has a power driver seat, power windows, power steering, power brakes, an AM radio, a clock that's right twice a day, and a speed minder luxury. It has a 6.6 liter 401 cubic inch V8 with the switch pitch torque converter transmission. From the factory the 401 was rated at 325 hp and 445 ft/lbs of torque. To my knowledge is a matching numbers car. It has approximately 89k miles on it. It runs strong, drives, shifts, and stops. It's a non AC car, with the very desirable limited slip differential. It's has the factory optional wood wheel with intact and functional horn bar. It's has a full size matching spare. Original Protect O Plate and manual included. This Riviera has been in the family for about 21 years, 12 of which I've owned it. I no longer have enough time to enjoy it like I used to. It received "Best Luxury Car" at the 2006 United Way Car and Bike show in Atlanta and a "Third Place" in the 2007 Peach Blossom Car Show in Atlanta hosted by the Dixie Chapter Buick Club of America. It's an older restoration that is showing its age. It's a nice 10 footer, but has some fine cracking in the paint and a few small bubbles. There is surface rust on the chassis and suspension. There is some rust around the battery tray and on the end of a body brace beside the trunk only visible from under the car. There are some bubbles under a portion of the vinyl top but overall seems solid. It would be a good candidate for a restoration. The tires are older and should be replaced. I have the missing chrome trim piece for the vinyl top but it is damaged. It currently has a slight vibration under load that I'm trying to have diagnosed. Not included in the sale, but delivery on an open car hauler within 400 miles from Atlanta, GA or further is possible. This can be negotiated prior to the sale if necessary. More photos are available upon request. Inspections are welcome. Please feel free to message me with any questions. This vehicle is sold with a bill of sale. Georgia does not issue titles for vehicles this old. Thank you.
