Up for Auction is a very Rare Jaguar XJ8 Vanden Plas model year 2005. As with any Jaguar automobile, it comes with a long list of amenities and options. Bluetooth, touchscreen Navigation, 300 HP 4.2L V8 engine etc... A Vanden Plas comes with a bit more extras, such as lambswool carpets, picnic trays and a Long Wheel Base, to name a few. This particular Cat is dressed in Black (Ebony) - Not the bad luck kitty! But all grace: Runs and drive well. No mechanical issues. Engine Purrrrss strong and the transmission shifts smooth. 5 Chrome rims (including the spare) are in excellent condition, no curb rash. They are wrapped in 255/40/19 Pirelli Cinturato P7's with good tread. A recent alignment done in the last few weeks, carry a 12 month warranty from Firestone. The car has not been driven daily for a few months so consider a tune up in the future. The Air suspension has been replaced with a full Arnott Air Spring to Coil Spring conversion kit. (Yellow warning light for suspension fault on dash). The car still retains its smooth comfort ride and also in Sport mode you still have that sharp responsiveness you need. The Air suspension components are still intact (lines & compressor) if the need for the option to covert back to the Air ride is desired. There are a few very minor imperfections, small scratches here and there etc....needs a little TLC, but over all for its age this car shines! A very Rare interior of Full Cranberry Connolly Leather will engulf you in luxury. This was a special order only option that was not offered mainstream in U.S. Jaguar dealerships, except for the XJR and only a few examples exist stateside for a Vanden Plas available only in just a few exterior colors of Quartz, Midnight and Ebony. You can easily overlook the fine Burl wood trim w/ boxwood inlays as secondary due to this opulent color scheme and atmosphere. With this being said, the best part is: This is a no reserve Auction. I bought it knowing that this Gem needed to be pampered and "driven". Thanks for the inquiry. On Feb-18-18 at 09:27:11 PST, seller added the following information: The CATS system is part of the air suspension control/monitoring system. The fault message is due to disconnection the air struts and replacing them with Arnott coil conversion kit. I can assure you the car runs and drive great. The only components I had replaced were the air shocks/struts. I did not want the worry of an air suspension failure. I do not have the previous air shocks/struts that were removed, however, air shocks/struts the can be easily installed again. Thanks again everyone for your questions and interest. Thanks" In my opinion - The oil was changed a year ago (according to the sticker on the windshield) and the car has been driven maybe a good 1200 miles since that time and has sat for a few months, so that may need to be considered.
