The sign of a great motorcycle is that one’s eye is not drawn to any one feature while viewing it, yet one can study it for hours and continually find something new That the dawn of motoring took place in France is a fact where not many of us are familiar with. A little history about the make;Terrot was a French motorcycle pioneer ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrot ), which manufacturer was over the years very well known for their sporty/high quality motorcycles, but also for the many races they have won. The company was based in the French city of Dijon and was in business from the year 1887 until the late 1950's. This 250cc four-stroke (SV) Terrot POH model has gone through a time warp, as it must still look exactly like it MANY decades ago. It has been in a collection of antique motorcycles since the mid 1980's and was on display under controlled climate conditions since. Like also the images are showing it is in a very clean condition, though the paint and chrome are not perfect, it has a few dings, where the complete bike is showing after more than 80 years some traces of use and age (patina). I haven't made any attempts to get it running, but the engine is spinning free, does not make any funny noises, has great compression, where also the gearbox shifts without any problem and has all gears present. Also, just before this bike went into storage, the complete ignition system has been restored in a most professional manner, where it was running and riding great after this job was completed. Furthermore it has just received a new rear tire (Dunlop) & inner tire, where a new battery will also come with the bike.
