Vehicle Detail

This is an awesome little car that I purchased to give to my oldest child, and have had fun with for a bit. Drives like a go-cart, and just puts a smile on your face when you're behind the wheel.Unfortunately, the oldest child has no interest in learning how to drive a manual transmission car, so here it is...up for sale and ready to go.The car has a hair more than 158k miles, but pulls strong and doesn't smoke even a little. Transmission is strong, clutch is good, tires are fairly new. Also has new (factory color) paint, a new factory rear wing (because...you know...kids), new bulbs all the way around, a brand new battery, and a fresh tune up.This would make a fun, inexpensive little commuter car for the lucky bidder. What you see is what you get. It's not a flashy car, and it certainly isn't a fresh from the factory new car, but it's a reasonable little bit of fun time driving for a small amount of money. And I know I'm going to get some questions about what's wrong with it...so here goes. It has a small power steering leak on the passenger side. Doesn't make any pump noise or whine, so as long as you get it checked out and fixed soon I think you'll have no worries. It Could also use a set of brakes when you get around to it. Nothing urgent, but if you want to drive it around for a commuter, better safe than sorry.Headliner is sagging quite a bit. This is quite common on late 90s VWs, and I'm including some factory headliner material in with the car. The exterior is in good condition with only a few minor dings and scratches (please check out all of the photos to see). The new blue paint shines up very nicely, and the five spoke aluminum wheels polish well also. The interior also looks good (with the exception of the headliner of course), but could use a solid detail if you're in to that kind of thing. Overall the car runs well, but I would encourage buyers to have their own mechanic take a look over any used car they buy online before taking it out on a long road trip. Thanks for looking, happy bidding, and may the Volkswagen be forever in your favor!!! No reserve, but there is a Buy It Now price...Come on...you know you want to...
