Hello, Up for sale is my fathers 2004 Dodge 3500 Dually. He has owned he truck for about 6 years and bought it when it had around 200k on it. He used the truck to haul campers from Indiana to various parts of the county. He did this part time to do some traveling and earn some extra money. He hasn't done this in about a year and a half so he has decided to sell his beloved truck(not sure why hes so attached to it...but I'm not a dodge/cummins guy). But i agree it makes no sense to let it sit in the barn so that is why its for sale. Body: Overall the body is in really good shape for the year. I think he said the truck was originally from Florida and he tried to never drive it in the winter, I couldn't find any rust on the truck. There are some light scratches on a couple of the doors and a few spots that are touched up with the touch up pen. But over all the paint is pretty nice. The driver door must have been repaired previously because it looks like there are a couple of small bondo spider cracks that you can see but nothing major mabe to spots the size of a dime. Dually fenders are in great shape other than the normal stone chips. There are also small stone chips on the front painted bumper and front of the hood. No major cosmetic flaws on the truck and overall I would say it is in above average condition for the year. Interior: Again overall the interior is in above average condition. The driver seat does have a tear on the side. Obviously the rest of the seats are in good condition as all of the miles were with just him in the drivers seat. All the door panels are fine, dash board looks good, the driver door control panel is loose for some reason and I never asked him why( bad retaining clip maybe?) Everything works it just slides around a little bit. All the power options work fine and everything functions as it should. Mechanical: Original engine was rebuilt at about 300k Had the radiator, oil pump, Main and Rod bearings replaced about 7k miles ago Transfer case rebuilt 2 years ago All new shocks 1 year ago Trans rebuilt at about 375,000 Ball Joints 1 year ago Brakes were done recently Carrier bearing about 1 year ago Tires have about 25% tread left as best I could tell. Overall for the miles this trucks starts, runs and drives very good. There is zero known mechanical issues and my dad said he would get in it tomorrow and drive anywhere in the country no questions asked. He is a freak when it comes to maintenance and fluid changes and all mechanical issues were dealt with promptly. Every oil change has included lucas oil stabilizer since hes owned the truck. He did mention it does drip a little oil if left in one spot for a period of time but nothing major. Also included are the 5th wheel hitch and 5th wheel tail gate. Also it has an 85gal auxiliary tank\tool box that is included. If you are looking to haul some horses, hay a tractor or some construction equipment for a reasonable price this may be your new truck. I encourage anyone biding to come physically see and drive the truck. I've done my best to describe it, but my opinion about a vehicles condition and your may be very different!!
