This amazing vehicle has been in our family for a number of years, and has been in collector hands for many years. Sold new in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, it now resides at our home in Chambersburg and has traveled a little over 22,000 miles in 46 years. The miles are documented as per an original miles title, which is in my name. The window sticker is still in the window, and the LTD is as new as a car can be that was built in 1971. Almost completely original - as built - with factory applied paint, interior, and mechanical components. The paint shines and there is no evidence of rust or cancer anywhere - it appears this car has seen very limited or no rain or snow in its lifetime. The interior is factory fresh with no wear, stains, rips or tears anywhere. It still has that 'new car smell' (OK, maybe it's an old car smell!) It runs and drives very nicely, and does have four nearly new radial tires and new shock absorbers - we still have the original shocks in a box. The hoses, belts, hose clamps, plug wires, etc., are all the ones it has been wearing since constructed in the Ford factory. There are no leaks or drips or unusual noises. It is equipped with the optional 400 cubic inch Cleveland V8, 2 barrel carburetor, 260 horsepower. It has an automatic (C6) transmission, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning - which is still cold running on R12, AM radio with front and rear speakers, and several other nice options. One interesting option is the two tone paint with painted roof - most came through with a vinyl roof - which didn't hold up all that well! You will not find a nicer, cleaner, less messed with original car in the area than this one.
