Vehicle Detail
This is an awesome little car that I purchased new in 1999 and have owned ever since. The car has less than 93,000 miles - for the first couple of years, I used it to commute to work, but then started working from home and only drove it for errands, short trips, etc. I bought a new car last year and was planning to keep this as a second, but have found I don't really drive it anymore. I would love it to go to a good home to someone who loves it as much as I do! The exterior is in good condition with only a few minor dings and scratches (please check out all of the photos to see). The interior also looks good and has been kept clean and smoke free. I replaced the headliner/upholstery on the ceiling last summer as it was starting to come down. The upholstery on the driver's side door is also starting to bubble up a little bit now. Overall the car runs well, but there are a few issues to point out and I would encourage buyers to have their own mechanic take a look: 1. The ABS light comes on intermittently. This has been occurring for the past few years. 2. The car makes a squeaking noise when it first starts up which goes away after the car has been running about 30 - 60 seconds. 3. I think there is something that drains the battery if the car is not driven at least every few days. My mechanic checked the alternator and said it was working fine. The battery was replaced in August of 2017, and the car is starting up/driving fine now. However, I don't drive it often and when I leave it parked too long without starting it, I need to have it jumped. 4. This car needs new inspection and registration. Recent repairs/maintenance on the car (past couple of years) includes: August 2017 - New batteryJuly 2016 - Replaced headliner/upholstery on ceilingApril 2016 - Replaced radiator, oil cooler and sealApril 2015 - Replaced timing belt, water pump and tensioner; replaced left drive axleMarch 2015 - Replaced valve cover gasketMarch 2015 - Replaced serpentine belt; replaced coolant flange I have loved driving this car over the past almost 20 years and hate to give it up, but I can no longer justify having two cars!
