1975 CHEVROLET CAPRICE CLASSIC CONVERTIBLE 1975 was the last year for the convertible for the Caprice. These Caprice's are becoming highly collectible....just look at what they've been selling for at Mecum this week and on the internet. This is a ONE OWNER car and was purchased new in 1975 at Egizio Chevrolet/Oldsmobile in Naperville, Illinois. It is still owned by the same owner! It has the 350 cu. in. V8 mated with a Turbo 400 automatic transmission. The car hasn't been on the road since 2006. The owner has asked me to get the car running and make a list of what it needs. I did get the car running, but it will need a fuel pump. I did install a brand new battery in it last week. The power convertible top operates like it should. The power seats operate and the power windows work except for the driver's side. I hear the motor trying to work, but I believe it's just stuck. The floor pans are still solid. The trunk pan is thin in spots. The interior is still in decent shape with a tear on the driver's seat area. The A/C compressor and system will need to be gone through and serviced. The spare tire and jack assembly are still in place. There's no doubt that this Caprice will need a complete restoration to bring it back to the way it looked in 1975. But the new owner can go as far as they want to make this rare Caprice look the way they want to. They only produced around 8,900 of these convertibles and this was the last year for them. This would make a great project car to put a little money into it and make a nice return on their investment. I have the original Bill of Sale from Egizio Chevrolet and the original owner's manual. The owner of this Caprice is also selling a 1972 Pontiac Catalina Convertible that he purchased new and a 1974 Cadillac Fleetwood Limousine. I have these listed on ebay now as well.
