Vehicle Detail
This automobile is NOT currently operational. It has not been started up/cranked or driven in approximately two and a half years because I have another car that I always drive now. This car is a fixer-upper for sale "as is" for those who like to collect and refurbish vintage sports cars. This is a vintage Mustang sports car that has been well taken care of. It also has an above average AutoCheck Score. In addition, it's engine has not been abused or constantly pushed to extreme high performance levels. This car has not been in any accidents or undergone any body collision damage at all. It has extremely low mile-ledge (below 100,000 miles) for a 2001 model. It's only been driven for approximately 96,000 miles. It is a GT model that has a V8 4.6 L engine. I bought this car brand new off the lot, and it has had only one owner (me). So, I know it pretty well. I have kept it intending to put money into it to refresh it; however, those plans seem to have changed. So, I have listed this good deal for sell to a sincere and serious buyer who is willing to and can afford to buy it at a fair rational price. Know issues follow: Has not been started since the battery died, so the battery will probably need to be replaced at this point before you can start the vehicle. The brake rotors have accumulated rust. The rotors have already been trimmed, so they might need to be replaced. Driver's seat has moderate snags/cracks on the side and in the middle from time, wear, and tear. There is a leak at the manifold where the radiator hose connects to the engine. The manifold bracket appears to be worn and cracked and will need to be replaced The plastic latch brace located on the inside of the car that opens the hood of the car has broken off of the side panel. So, the latch must be held and stabilized with two hands in order to pull it to open the hood (until the buyer has the latch reattached to the side panel). The rubber seal around the rear window needs to be replaced or remounted around the bottom of the window. The CD player ejection functionality is jammed. The inside and outside needs cleaning (of course). The paint job is a bit worn and worn a little more on the hood hub and rear spoiler. No major or other issues are KNOWN and this is an "as is" sale. Despite the known issues listed above, this is still a good car that’s worth a fair purchase. If no reasonable offers are made, I certainly wouldn't mind keeping the vehicle, refreshing it, and continuing to enjoy it myself. However, please feel free to make reasonable and fair offers. Notes: 1. Keep in mind that this vehicle has not been started in awhile due to the condition of its battery and that this car is currently being sold “as is”. If you would like to purchase it, you will have to use a car carrier or tow truck that can tow the car onto the truck that will transport it to you. At this time, I do not have the time to work on the car to get it started for you. And, besides, if I were to get it started, hear the sound of the notorious Mustang engine and drive it, I'd probably end up keeping the car instead of selling it. It is recommended that the buyer be local to the state of Georgia in the USA so that he or she can have a tow truck pull it onto the truck and deliver it to them after they have made the purchase.2. The last emissions test that the car underwent failed because the battery had been recently disconnected during that time and the car's computer that's related to the emissions test had not had enough time to fully reset yet when I took the car for the emissions test.
