Ebay offers our Feedback rating for a reason,... try trusting it. BRIEF DESCRIPTION: I call it a survivor because its not been heavily modded Paint looks to be all original too and in nice shape. Interior isnt too bad. Think it use to be a work fleet truck for a company for desert driving, hence the 4x, spotlight and AC, 5.8 option...and base white color. Ive been all under and over this truck and cant find any rot, just some surface rust. Not surprising, because its been in AZ its whole life and in a garage too most of the time. floors and rockers are in great shape. You can see some of this evidence in the last set of pics taken from UNDER the truck on the floors. WHY buy an eastcoast rust bucket IF YOU DONT HAVE TO ~!? Pay a little more for shipping NOW then paying to fix a rust bucket later. Its been in an original Az vehicle garaged most of its life.DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS IN HAND apparently some people who use ebay arent smart enough to understand the rules. DRIVETRAIN: factory V8, the original 351M engine with an auto trans. As mentioned before, motor wont crank. Last owner said his daughter was driving it one day and after parking it, it wouldnt start again. No water in the oil. Finding a good used 5.8 shortblock or even a Ford crate motor may be a good option now, or better. Trans and 4x should be working fine, but no way to test it. INTERIOR: take a look at the pics. Very original and and not in all bad shape at all. Id say its better then normal wear and tear. Factory privacy glass in the back is a nice option. Truck has rubber floormats and manual windows. Power rear glass works to drop the tailgate. 2nd row back seat in great shape Although this is techincally a removable hardtop convertible, I dont think the tops ever been off. Dash has cracks. At least all the stuff this truck needs is readily available new, used or repop. EXTERIOR: the body pretty straight for its age, but this is a 90% rust FREE AZ desert survivor. Rust or rot I should say is non existent on the body. Much nicer by comparison to a truck this old from the eastcoast. the paint easily acceptable for a daily driver. The paint on the hardtop in nice shape, overall the paint is a 20 footer. Something dripped around the RF headlight on the paint. No idea what is it, but its just on the outter paint there.SUSPENSION: the suspension looks normal from what I can see Very stock and original, but no sign of abuse or neglect here. Its 30+ yrs old, but was taken care of and not off roaded or trashed. Mostly just surface rust under the car, making taking this car apart, almost a breeze !! Having as much as the original steel on a non restored car these speaks volumes. Survivors are getting harder to find ! Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating.
