2011 NICE Chevy Volt, 4 door sedan, 4Cyl, 1.4 fuel injected with 163,000 miles (highway). This has been my commuter car – driven daily and well maintained. We have 2 identical volts and LOVE these cars! We're selling one & keeping one to supplement other pure electric cars we purchased. We know most everything there is about the Volt and are happy to discuss any questions! THIS IS A VOLT – its primary fuel source is a lithium-ion battery. The battery is charged by plugging the vehicle into an outlet overnight, and provides a range of ~ 35 miles. To drive further, the on-board 1.4L 4-cylinder gasoline-powered engine automatically starts up to generate additional energy. A regenerative braking system provides additional charging whenever the vehicle slows. Can go anywhere without the “range anxiety” associated with pure electric, yet, the luxury and reliability of electric motor components (= LOW cost of ownership!). This car’s 163,000 miles are approximately 100,000 miles all electric motor, and remaining miles on gasoline.
