I HAD GOTTEN THE ROAD RUNNER FROM A GENTLEMAN IN KENTUCKY AS A TRADE-IN AND HE REPRESENTED THAT HE HAD SPENT OVER 10 YEARS PERSONALLY RESTORING THE RARE MOPAR. WELL ... I TOOK THIS 1957 CHEVY BEL-AIR AS A TRADE-IN ON THE ROAD RUNNER AND THE MISSISSIPPI GENTLEMAN STATED THAT THE CAR RAN TERRIFIC ... AND ... THAT HE WOULD BE HAPPY TO DRIVE IT TO CALIFORNIA IF HE NEEDED TO. WHEN IT ARRIVED ... IT DID HAVE A EXTREMELY STRONG CORVETTE LS ENGINE AND WAS INFACT WELL ENGINEERED AND DRIVABLE. HOWEVER, IT LOOKED DATED AND BLAND. WES PULLIN OF WES PULLIN'S AUTOMOTIVE BY DESIGN (THE EXCLUSIVE HOT ROD SHOP OF OUR COMPANY) DID A COMPLETE EVALUATION AND SUGGESTED THAT THE CAR BECOME A 2-TONE GRAY & BLUE CAR AND THAT THE WHEELS AND TIRES BE REPLACED WITH MODERN, LARGER WHEELS AND LOW PROFILE TIRES. ADDITIONALLY, HE SUGGESTED THAT THE "VINTAGE AIR" INSIDE UNIT WHICH WAS THE OLDER UNDER-DASH SYSTEM BE REPLACED WITH "VINTAGE AIR'S" NEW BEHIND-DASH SYSTEM. THE RESULT IS INCREDIBLE ...
