Ebay offers our Feedback rating for a reason,... try trusting it. BRIEF DESCRIPTION: This is a cool old Dodge, granted the tires are getting pretty old. Its always been maintained as needed. Altought ITS NOT RESTORED, its a great ARizona rust and rot free truck. Starts all the time and Ive driven it around town a few times on short trips. Rides kinda like an old work truck. Freeze plug on the dr side rear is leaking, but runs fine. No long trips till that gets fixed. Its been mostly we gather an original Az DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS IN HANDapparently some people who use ebay arent smart enough to understand the rules. DRIVETRAIN: factory V8, a nice running 383 2v, no weird noises or smoke from the engine. 383 mostly stock except for the headers and exhaust. 4 spd floor shift trans and Its a your typical 4x trans, but works great and the 4x works too. Its a factory 4x4 truck and the 4 wheel stuff has been tested and works fine. Took it up a few cool hills in my area. A great crawler and extremely torque-y in 1st or 4 low. Both driveshafts are in place, which is good. Drivetrain feels rock solid, only thing worth mentioning is when I shift into 3rd it makes a sound like maybe worn synchros. It goes in fine all the gears, doesnt pop out or anything. Dealer installed AC is pretty cool, all looks to be there have not tried to use it. Freeze plug dr side rear, think it was on the head leaking, needs a new freeze plug asap. INTERIOR: take a look at the pics. Very original and yes a bit dry, but a little dirty for its age. The front seat was recovered with a nice velour material a few yrs ago. Door panels and dash in nice shape. Its been used as a weekend truck mostly the last 20 yrs. Decent for a daily driver, Temp and Gas gauge works, so does the speedo. Keep in mind, this truck has not been restored. Previous owner layed some sheetmetal over both front floors due to some rusting from the inside out over the yrs from the rubber mats. They are not soft and you can see from the pics under the truck they are not horrible, but need to be mentioned. Cab corners and rockers very nice and not rot noticed.EXTERIOR: the body pretty straight for its age, but this is a 90% rust FREE survivor. Windows roll up and down, The doors work fine. Rust or rot I should say is almost non existent on the body. Much nicer by comparison to a truck this old from the eastcoast. Paint could be original ! . Original color was prob RED on the cab at least, the bed is not the original pcs, but its in nice shape overall as is the working tailgate.SUSPENSION: the suspension looks normal from what I can see .. but old. We didnt hear any weird noises or clunks while driving it around. It Im sure will need some work soon like bushings etc, but as is its driving around ok. Was built to last and its shows it. Looks good as is, would look sweet with some older period correct aftermarket wheels. The current wheels look to be 15x8 steelies. Minimal rust under the car, making taking this car apart, almost a breeze !! People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end. Having as much as the original steel on a non restored car these speaks volumes. Survivors are getting harder to find ! Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating. People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers. They are not horrible, but need to be pointed out. I never pulled the metal covering off, from underneath they dont look bad, but from inside, due to the rubber floormats over the yrs they got flakey.
