Ebay offers our Feedback rating for a reason,... try trusting it. BRIEF DESCRIPTION: I call it a survivor because its not been heavily modded Paint looks to be all original too and in nice shape. Interior is pretty OE too. Has some cool options like cruise, pw, pdl.. Power rear window, working cold AC, not to mention a nice factory color. After driving it a bit over the last month, the first things Id do IF I kept it would be: buy new window felts for the doors to stop the window rattle noise, and recover the front seats and get the sound system working....gotta have tunes. Ive been all under and over this truck and cant find any rot, just some surface rust. Not surprising, because its been in AZ its whole life and in a garage too most of the time. floors and rockers are in great shape. You can see some of this evidence in the last set of pics taken from UNDER the truck on the floors. WHY buy an eastcoast rust bucket IF YOU DONT HAVE TO ~!? Its been in an original Az vehicle garaged most of its life.DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS IN HAND apparently some people who use ebay arent smart enough to understand the rules. DRIVETRAIN: factory V8, the original 351M engine with an auto trans and all the factory 4x4 drivetrain feels and works well.... Engine sounds good and runs well, no obvious leaks. Ive driven it to work and back a few times with no issues. Its a pleasure to drive. The aftermarket Centerline rims are a nice touch, and weigh much less then the OE wheels. All stock and unmolested too under the hood which is nice. Odo shows about 195k on it, but you wouldnt know it by driving or looking at its overall condition. Its been well kept and runs great. AC works too. INTERIOR: take a look at the pics. Very original and and not in all bad shape at all. Id say its better then normal wear and tear except for the 2 front seats. CARPET KIT IS BRAND NEW 2nd row back seat in great shape Although this is techincally a removable hardtop convertible, I dont think the tops ever been off. PW all work well too as does the rear tailgate glass. Factory rear privacy glass. Aftermarket radio has no sound, could just need speakers, not sure. All the gauges seem to work fine. EXTERIOR: the body pretty straight for its age, but this is a 90% rust FREE AZ desert survivor. Rust or rot I should say is non existent on the body. Much nicer by comparison to a truck this old from the eastcoast. the paint easily acceptable for a daily driver. The paint on the hardtop in nice shape, overall the paint is a 20 footer.SUSPENSION: the suspension looks normal from what I can see We didnt hear any weird noises or clunks while driving it around. It Im sure will need some work soon like bushings etc, but as is its driving around ok. Its 30+ yrs old, but was taken care of and not off roaded or trashed. Factory DUAL shocks up front are cool. Mostly just surface rust under the car, making taking this car apart, almost a breeze !! People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end. Having as much as the original steel on a non restored car these speaks volumes. Survivors are getting harder to find ! Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating. People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers.
