Vehicle Detail
2012 HONDA ACCORD LX SEDAN ++++5 speed Manual Transmission++++ 78,466 Miles Car is clean, fun to drive and has ZERO mechanical issues. This accord has been very well maintained. The brakes are excellent on this car, the driving and handling is smooth and impressive. This has only been used on a 5 day a week basis as a work car to drive to and from work only. We are selling the car because the person driving has had a double knee replacement and the manual transmission has become tasking during the drive to and from home. We have replaced this vehicle already with the SAME vehicle but only with a different transmission. That is testimony to the fact that at the very least for us, we really like car that is up for sale. Some history on the car.... Please check the VIN report and please feel free to ask any questions. I will respond as soon as soon as it is possible. We are the second owners for the car because we purchased the car after it had been processed by the original owner's insurance company as a total loss due to hail damage in 2014. The hail damage only extended to the exterior body and did not break through glass to the interior. We did replace the front windshield. After repairs the car was then branded as "hail damage/ rebuilt" and we have been driving it since. We have never had an issue while owning and driving the car. A few things necessary to point out... While we had the best of plans to take a car that was hail damaged and hopefully save some cash for a car to drive to work it didn't quite turn out that way. You live and learn. Because insurance wasn't paying the restoration bill, we shopped around. We found what we thought was a reputable shop offering a pretty decent deal on a paint job. We'd like to think the guy at least had good intentions. Not only did it end up costing more than we agreed to pay but it wasn't the job we expected. We decided that because we had already invested quite a bit at that point, we would just drive the vehicle anyway. It isn't horrible but up close you can see chips in the front bumper and small flecks/chips in random areas. Although cars will show bumper paint chipping as they age this is accelerated and is mostly in the common places you tend to see paint chipping. I do think the color of the car itself helps to make it not so obvious. Also, the guy left a couple or few paint runs. The runs are fairly small and again most people wouldn't immediately notice them unless you are inspecting the car for such a thing or washing the car for example. We talked to legitimate body shop buy (the one we should have paid to paint the vehicle) and he detailed what could be done to correct it. So, if your handy like that or know someone who is this would be the car for you if you are looking for something like this. I've done my best to take up close photos of areas that can be seen as an issue. The Honda sign on the back wasn't glued on the best either, the guy got a bit silly with the glue, again though that is generally an easy fix but takes time. We want to be transparent as possible and I've done my best to list anything you might find a concern. If there is anything I haven't addressed, please just send a message and I will get back with you. We do require that the buyer of the auction be able to pay an immediate $500 deposit that will not be refunded if you in the event you decide NOT to buy the car for any reason. Also, we are selling the car AS-IS, without a warranty of any kind. The $500 deposit payment must be made via paypal within 24 hours of the end of the auction. The final payment in full can be made in cash and we meet at my bank. I will also except a certified check but I require that the check clear in full before I release the car to you. Again, I can meet at my bank to accept payment. I may be willing to consider other options but that would be case by case and you will of course need to contact me and work that out BEFORE the purchase of the car. I have sold 2 cars on ebay before over the past 5 years or so and both were excellent transactions, I'm hoping again for the same. My goal here is to avoid the people out there who are scamming ebay transactions and similar. This car is for sale locally and should it sell before auctions end I reserve the right to stop and remove the auction at any time. Please note that this car is being sold AS-IS and without any warranty.
