You are bidding on this rare 1987 BMW R65 motorcycle, in excellent condition. This beautiful bike has been lovingly maintained all its life, and has always been garage kept. I am the second owner of this bike, and purchased it for my son as his first road bike. The bike has exceptionally low mileage, with only 24,700 miles on it. I have maintained the bike myself since I bought it, and just recently did the oil change, valve adjustment, and carb synchronization. This bike works perfectly, and has no issues or problems at all. The only thing needed at this point is a new rear tire. It has progressive rate fork springs up front, and I've replaced all the instrument lights with LED bulbs. The throttle response is smooth and linear, and the transmission is butter smooth. The front brake master cylinder was replaced when I bought the bike (Sept. 2013), and added stainless brake lines as well. All fluids were replaced with full synthetic oils, and it has had regular oil changes at the end of each season. There are some blemishes to the paint on the sides of the gas tank, but not too bad; no dings or dents. The bike runs flawlessly, and is built to last a lifetime. This fine motorcycle is being sold as-is with no warranties expressed or implied to the highest bidder with NO RESERVE. I did not put a reserve price on the bike, and assumed that the Buy-it-now would remain until that price was met. At this point, this is now a NO RESERVE auction and will sell to the highest bidder. My apologies to anyone who may have been interested in the Buy-it-Now not being available any more. I did not want to hold a reserve on the bike, as I feel that it defeats the excitement of an auction. Good luck to all you Airheads out there looking to get this bike; it is truly a great ride!
