FOR SALE: 1981 Jeep Scrambler CJ-8. I have decided to sell this scrambler and build my other scrambler. This one was too clean to cut up and I am building a rock crawler. This is a very solid Arizona Jeep. Years ago this was a tour jeep out of Scottsdale, Az. After the company went under the previous owner purchased it and had the interior redone and used it at the lake. This jeep has the 4.2L inline 6 cylinder with the 5 speed manual transmission. The axles have 3:31 gears. Front axle is Dana 30 and rear axle is AMC Model 20. All of the gauges work and so does the cd player. The interior and Bikini top match. the bikini top does have a spot were the stitching is coming loose but would be easy to fix. This jeep has aftermarket 16" aluminum rims with brand new 285/75/16 tires. There is zero rot in this jeep. The only thing it has is some light surface rust on the bottom side of floor boards. There is spray primer under the gas filler neck because of light surface rust. This jeep starts and runs great. The only mechanical thing that I have noticed is if it sits for a week you have to crank it for a while to get fuel to the carb. If you drive it more often it fires up immediately. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this jeep anywhere tomorrow.The fuel tank and sending unit are new. I did not even wash this jeep for the photos... If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
