Up for sale is a 1997 BMW 540i PRE VANOS E39 4.4L V8 6Speed Manual. It runs and drives great, was well maintained. Oil was changed every 3k miles with 0W-40 Mobil 1 Import BMW certified oil to pamper the engine. Doesn’t burn any oil, Engine guides and timing chain were replaced about 45k miles ago, which cost about $3000. Since I've owned this vehicle I have done a lot of upgrades and general maintenance. I have two functional Keys to the car one is the standard BMW key, the other is a custom flip key I had put together. The other key only unlocks the doors the internals form that key was put into the custom flip key. Just these a couple parts ive replaced like Hella headlights OEM ($600), Eight Bosch coil packs OEM ($560 ), OEM Sacs Struts and Springs front and rear ($1150), Rebuilt/balanced Drive Shaft ($500), Clutch and Flywheel ($600), Calipers & brake Hoses ($560). That is $3970 just in a few parts and doesn't include labor. I'm practically giving the car away for my starting bid price. I could sell just these parts and get what i am asking for my starting bid but I don't have the time. There are 3 Lights on, I had a everything diagnosed just never got around to fixing them. ABS light came on about 2 months ago (Right Rear ABS Sensor). Circle light for traction control light been on since I bought the car. Airbag light (been on since i have owned it) I had it at BMW dealership and they said this was caused by bad power supply in the steering wheel airbag. There are small amount of surface rust along the bottom/corners of the doors both sides, quarter near rear bumper/wheel well, and trunk lid as you can see from the pictures its not really noticeable. Also there is some wear on the driver side leather seat as well as on the shiftier boot. Car is for sale locally so auction could be canceled at any time.
