1971 Mercedes Benz 280SL Last Year Made NO RESERVE! Here is a 1971 Mercedes Benz 280SL that we just took in trade. We don't specialize in classic cars so we are just offering the car at No Reserve here on eBay. You get to pick your price and check out our 100% feedback and bid with confidence. The previous owner has done a lot of restoration work to make the car show well. The engine has the original numbers stamped on the block so it is a matching number car. The engine does sound bad and needs to be gone thru. Looks to have been 70% restored, but never finished and some items missing or not perfect. Seems to be just a lower end clean up restoration, not concourse or anything. Under the hood it looks amazing actually. The transmission doesn't shift great so that will need to be addressed. The paint looks to have always been red and looks to have a paint job done recently. Comes with both the hard and the soft top. Doesn't show any signs of rust which is great! This car is being sold as is and anyone is more than welcome to come check the car out before the auction ends. We are starting the price ridiculously low so you can all set your price and bid according to condition. We do not have a buy it now so we will let the auction run its course.
