Remember the pickup grandpa had back in the 70's? the one that had the cool toolbox down in the side of the bed? remember the bench seat that you used to stand up in going down the highway? the cool lapbelts? it rode like a Cadillac. it would float over the bumps, and had vent windows that forced air in the cab because no one back then had air conditioning. there was always a fishing pole behind the big seat. He even let you go from the cab to the bed thru the sliding rear window while he was driving!! this truck was bought new in 1973 at Bob Bales Ford here in Morristown Tennessee by the now deceased gentleman whose widow I purchased it from. it was parked in a carport unused from 2008 until recently. My son originally thought he would like to drive it daily but has since decided that he wanted to go a different direction. rather than modify this vehicle we decided to sell it to someone who can keep it as it is and enjoy the nostalgia of it. 360 v8 engine c-6 3 speed tranny dics brakes in front drums in the back power brakes power steering am radio (inop) things that have been done to the truck in the last month new brake calipers and pads new fuel tank and sending unit new water pump new fuel pump new fuel filter new radiator there is very little surface rust even on the frame. the doors open and shut correctly and easily. it has been repainted sometime in its past. not a perfect truck, but it shines up really nice. some of the rubbers will need to be replaced on the window tracks for the doors. tires are older. this truck drives well but could stand some brake bleeding. you have to pump the pedal one time to get absolutely great brakes but even without pumping it stops good. all interior panels and dash are in great shape. pebble pattern floorboards are still in really nice condition. truck has old school dual exhaust with glasspacks! sounds great. two barrel carb. ask any questions that you like before the close of auction. 423-273-3557. ask for Brent. truck is to be paid for within ten days of close of auction. payable by wire transfer, cashiers check, or dollars. truck is sold as-is in Morristown Tennessee, and we reserve the right to end the auction early as truck is for sale locally.
