Up for auction is what could be a genuine 16 thousand mile LaSalle Series 52. This car is offered from the estate of well known local car enthusiast,... that always collected nice low mile cars. We have no way to prove the mileage but the cars condition could very easily support the notion. First off, the Fenders, Quarters and floors are original. In addition, the interior is original too. Setting aside the originality of the sheet metal and interior,...the engine runs like a sewing machine and is superbly quiet and smooth in operation. It certainly runs, rides and drives like a genuine low mile car. Please note,...everything about the car leads us to believe it really could be a true low mile car". We do know it had 13xxx miles in 1983. (The Exterior Condition:) Stunning and Gorgeous. Deep shine with an excellent gloss factor. The car has no bondo or filler panels. It is however , much new paint. Excellent Door, Hood and Fender gap lines, fit and finish. The Chrome trim is either excellent or very good at the lowest level. The emblems are original and in excellent shape considering their age. Even the red small ball on the antenna is original and in fantastic condition. (The Interior Condition:) Everything concerning the interior cabin is excellent and once again, we believe to be original. The seats show wear I guess,...but not very much. All stitching's are firm, tight and factory correct. The seating areas are all very comfortable,...the rear seat is like setting on your couch. This is a very nice car in all phases of the interior. The push to start is original and still has a new appearance. The headliner and exit straps are original and still wonderful too. The dash cluster is home to working gauges. All but the windshield wipers, radio and heater are functioning. As a side note,...there is an internal light in the heater switch,...still working. In addition,...that switch spells out "HEAT",...that print on the switch is very small and very easy to read as all of the paint is still there. While the interior is not perfect,...it should be considered to be in very nice condition. There seems to be signs of slight wear near the door handles and door pulls on the fabric part of the door panels. There may be slight signs of wear on the seats,...but only mildly at best. (The Engine, Transmission. Suspension & Undercarriage:) Perfectly tuned 322 cubic inch V8 with 130 horse power. I would not hesitate to drive this car across the country! That being said,...I don't know what I like most , the cosmetic or mechanical attributes this car offers,... or both. Every single mechanical operation of this car is smooth and in EXCELLENT condition. (The Engine:) Wonderful. Well Tuned. Smooth. Sweet little V8. (The Transmission:) Smooth shifting. Easy to drive. Healthy Clutch. (1st and Reverse are not synchronized) (The Suspension:) Smooth. No clunks. No odd noises. It dose have a bit of a roll factor to it,...but that's how they were. (The Undercarriage:) Outstanding. Solid. Original metal. (The Final Word:) What a Wonderful "Companion Car" to Cadillac. Drive anywhere quality. Immensely enjoyable to drive. Radial Tires for cross country travel safety. Not perfect,...but incredible for it's age. We have the original LaSalle ID Card! It's nicely preserved as well. We really think the miles could be correct,...everything leads us to think that way. Again I'm listing this beautiful LaSalle for the Family and will take all questions to them.
