2002 XKR I have owned this car for about 3 1/2 years. It runs great and everything works as it should. Here's the summary: The supercharger oil, transmission oil, rear dif oil have all been changed. The timing chain guides have been changed (along with the chain for good measure) to the newer style. This is important for this year model! The other thing that is very important for this year model is the hydraulic hoses and cylinders for the convertible. The top hoses and cylinder have been changed. NO GREEN SHOWERS! I also added a pressure valve made to reduce stress on the new hoses. The following has been replaced within the last year: both fuel pumps, battery, front rotors, and water pump. I drive this car daily and it has always been garaged. Tires are all within the last two years. Now for the extras! I added a remote open/close to the convertible. It uses the original remote and is wonderful! Go to the jagwrangler.com to see how it works! I also removed the original useless tiny nav center panel and replaced it with the 3 gauges like the non supercharged. This is, again from jagwrangler. Looks better and is actually useful. I do, however, have the original panel and nav and it can be put back if you want. And for the fun part.... I added a nice Pioneer a/v unit that pairs with my phone, can play sd cards or cds, has a backup camera and still works from the buttons on the steering wheel! I replaced the speakers and amplifier with top of the line JL audio. Sounds fantastic and looks great. The buttons that the double din replaced are tucked neatly in the console. Again, I have the original unit if you want to reinstall but I don't know why you would. Also have the fun flip key, an original key, valet key, and owner's manual. This car does have a few paint nicks up front and a small scratch or two as you would expect from a 15 year old car, but it looks fantastic and none of the paint is fading. Also, the top is in excellent condition and will not have to be changed for many years to come, although there are a few stains on the headliner inside along the back out of sight. Here in Dallas, exotic cars are dime a dozen and I still have my car valeted many times at the front door of restaurants. (Much to the chagrin of my best friend who drives a new A7 Audi that gets parked in the back, lol). It looks that good! Between the triple gauge, top remote, and a/v system, there is probably $4k worth of goodies that are getting thrown in for free. And with the peace of mind knowing all the major mechanical systems are in top notch shape, having been either serviced or replaced...I can't imagine finding another car like this at this value. This was the last year of the Mercedes transmission. It was a tank and known for being issue free. Let me know if you have any questions.
