The 6 speed manual is super fun to drive, and the engine performance is very impressive... The rear spoiler can be raised and lowered manually, but also pops up automatically when you reach 75MPH, then lowers again once you hit 35MPH. Excellent color combo of metallic silver with grey leather. This local car was owned by a retired attorney for the last 5+ years, and was maintained very well at a local import shop. The 90k service was just performed recently... Car comes with full receipts for past service records. These 996 cars are an incredible value right now...In 3-5 years, the values on these will start to climb like the other 911's, and its very possible that these could be $25-30k cars in the near future. Clean Carfax & Autocheck Report, no accidents. Tires are like new, and the interior is super clean. IMS Bearing has not been done. The mechanic who has worked (and specializes in these cars) tells me that the IMS issue is overhyped by the internet, and he's only had to do the repair twice in the last 7 years. He said on these cars, they cut the oil filter in half at every oil change and look for metal. If they see any metal at all, they do the IMS Bearing. The oil was just changed on this one and the filter was clean. Windshield has 3 small stars in the glass on passenger side, but no cracks. These can likely be sucked out and filled, but I haven't had a glass shop try yet.
