Vehicle Detail
For your consideration, A very nice SLK230 convertible in Bahama Blue. Automatic 5 speed. This car is a blast to drive, accelerates and handles very well. Brakes work well with recent semi-metallic brake pad replacement. It ran nice and cool, with no issues, although the coolant level indicator does stay on, even though its full. Transmission shifted well with no issues noted. Convertible top works as expected. Interior console shows paint wear, and passenger seat has a tear. Black dash top is flawless, with NO cracks from exposure. Exterior paint is good, with some small dings and scratches noted, and some unfortunate bug stains on the hood. Rear bumper cover shows some wear as well. Vintage cassette radio-inop. Engine acceleration is exceptional, and it is a very fun ride, particularly with the top down. I have other roadsters, as I restore vintage two-seaters (Sunbeam, MG, and Alfas). This SLK230 is a modern classic for sure. These cars were very well designed and this particular vehicle has less than average miles accumulated for its age. As-is sale, reasonable reserve. Comes with complete owners manual set, as well as an extra oil filter cartridge. Recent work completed: New fuel pumpNew fuel filterNew air filterFresh Oil and filter change, New Wiper bladesNew AC blower New front and rear lift strutsBattery is in good condition. (Tires will be needed in future.) UPDATE: Since I wrote the above, a start issue has crept in. There are NO ODBII messages. I have been troubleshooting and have purchased and installed the following: (in addition to the new fuel pump and filter) Stribel K40 Relay board purchased New July 18th, (Amazon).Replaced crankshaft position sensor, purchased New July15thCleaned all connectionsCleaned Mass air flow screenChecked and cleaned Camshaft Position sensor.Checked wiringThere is strong fuel pressure at the fuel rail schraeder valve, maybe be a spark issue? It may be an easy fix, but I do not have equipment to do any diagnostics. It ran great and idled great-may be an easy fix, for someone with more expertise. - so its now an ebay deal for you. Reasonable offers will be considered. Feel free to ask any questions, and I will do my best to answer. Please check my feedback. Good luck bidding.
