Vehicle Detail
A sweet bike in very nice condition. Please look closely at the pictures. The prior owner performed a fairly comprehensive restoration on it approximately 10-12 years ago. It starts right up and I just took it for a decent ride. The paint is really nice with a few imperfections which I've attempted to show in the photos. A couple minor blems on the tank and one on the left hand side cover where the seat rubs when opened and one decal is worn from where your jeans flap in the wind. The bike has always been garaged since I've owned it and properly stored in winters. Everything works as it should. I have only ridden it a few times per year since I bought it around 8 years ago. The tank was sealed by the prior owner which seems to be holding up. This is an old British Bike. Do not buy it if you're not mechanically inclined or prepared to pay a mechanic from time to time. The bike runs reasonably well but does fart and pop sometimes. Other times it runs great. It would certainly respond well to a basic tune-up and being ridden more. It would probably benefit from a single Mikuni conversion and electronic ignition but then it is not original. If I do the fiddling, I'm afraid that I won't want to sell it anymore which has actually happened to me with other bikes in the past so that is up to you... It looks really, really good and runs well enough. The mileage on the odometer is since the restoration. I have no way to know how many miles were on it before that but the bike sounds and feels good. I'll throw-in the period plate if you want it. These T100R's are not that common. They are heavily under-valued at the moment but appear to be going up. Many collectors now recognize the opportunity with the huge price difference between these and comparable Bonneville's which may be a bit faster but vibrate more. The Daytona's are likely to continue appreciating more rapidly but I need to make room for another car and have way too many bikes. Buy it, enjoy it and watch the value go up. Feel free to ask questions and come take a look if you're local. Check my feedback and bid with confidence. I am also listing a nice '72 GT750 and may be listing a really nice MHR900 Mike Hailwood Replica soon.
