It's time to move on from my daughter's first car. We've owned it for a few years and it was her first dream car, but now it's time for something different. This is the highly sought after light blue exterior with the black convertible top and gray leather interior. The top works perfectly and my daughter loves zipping around town with the top dropped! The engine runs perfectly and the tranny shifts smoothly. The car hasn't given us any major problems. We did have the transmission valve body replaced which is common for the New Beetles, and the fuse box on top of the battery also was replaced a few months ago because that is apparently another known issue with the Beetles. And the cooling fans were replaced about 2 months go. New tires were put on 9,000 miles ago, so they are pretty much new. The interior is showing it's age. A door panel skin will fall down every now and then and I'll glue it back. The driver's door panel was cracked when we got it and a very amateurish repair was completed, but it seems to hold. There are other little imperfections, but nothing absolutely terrible. The heat, AC, and all the electronics works. The electric top works perfectly and there are no rips or tears in the top. The body is very good and may just have the normal road rock chips. It drives straight down the road and handles very well. The car still has a lot of life left in it and will make a good commuter or first vehicle for someone. The oil was changed with synthetic as recommended by VW every 4,000 miles and it was just changed three days ago. Local pick-up or buyer arranged shipping. Please email any questions!
