Vehicle Detail
This automobile is NOT currently operational. It has not been started up/cranked or driven in approximately two and a half years. It is a fixer-upper for sale "as is" for those who like to collect and refurbish sports cars. This is a sports car that has not been abused or constantly pushed to extreme high performance levels. It has extremely low mile-ledge (below 100,000 miles) for a 2001 model. It's only been driven for approximately 98,000 miles (As I recall having looked at the odometer the last time it was driven, the mileage is a bit less than 98,000). I have kept the vehicle intending to put money into it to rebuild and refresh it; however, those plans have recently been change. Know issues follow:Has not been started since the battery died, so the battery will probably need to be replacedThe brake rotors have accumulated rust. The rotors have already been trimmed, so they might need to be replaced.Driver's seat has moderate snags/cracks on the side and in the middle from wear and tear. There is a leak at the manifold where the radiator hose connects to the engine. The manifold bracket appears to be worn and cracked and will need to be replacedThe latch that opens the hood of the car has broken off of the side of the side panel, so the latch must be held and stabilized with two hands in order to pull it to open the hood. The rubber seal around the rear window needs to be replaced or remounted around the bottom of the window. The CD player ejection functionality is jammed. The inside and outside needs cleaning. The paint job is worn and worn more on the hood hub and rear spoiler.* The last emissions test failed because the battery had been disconnected and the test was given before the vehicle's computer had enough time to reset after the disconnection took place. The vehicle has not been on the road since then, nor has it undergone another emissions test since then. I no longer drive it. No other issues are KNOWN and this is an "as is" sale. The last Kelly Blue Book selling assessment that I received was $3,900 for such an automobile with all of its features that's not in refined condition. However, I've reduced the price because of the aforementioned known needed repair work listed above.
