Vehicle Detail

This car belonged to my late Brother in Law. He passed away in 2011. It is a true super sport. I don't think it has the original engine, but I'm am sure it has the original power glide. This car was his baby, and he took good care of it and also spent a lot of money on it too. The body is in good shape, but it does have putty in the front right fender and right rear quarter. I know this because there are a few hairline cracks in both areas. These are some of the items that I know of that he fixed or replaced. Carpet, Headliner, Floor Mats, Rebuilt Transmission, Put mild cam in engine, New bumpers, Original SS Steering wheel, (had one of those mini wheels when he got it). Tires are in good shape. He was always pittleing around with it, and I am sure there are lots of other things he did. There are a few small bubbles on the hood, and around the left rear wheel well. I took a few photos of the underside that I added to this auction. He also replaced all the chrome fender trim. I brought it to my house about a year ago. Up until that time, it had been under cover, which is included. It now resides in my garage. After sitting for approximately 5 years, it needed a little work, so I did a few things to it. I had to put a new rubber brake line on the front left and in the rear. I also put in new upper a arm bushings, and upper ball joints while I had them out. Also had a front end alignment at that time. It does have a few issues, but nothing major. It has a small transmission leak, as far as I can tell, it is coming from the speedometer cable connection. Also has an exhaust leak at the heat riser, as the riser itself is cracked. Car is an original AC car, but he removed the evaporator case from under the hood. Any case from that era Chevy fits this vehicle. It really is a nice old car, but as I said, has been mostly sitting since 2011. Call me at 304.633.8255 and we can discuss this further. If you are interested in an old car to play around with, this is the one. Tinker with it, DRIVE IT! It is perfectly fine as is, and it looks very nice as is. It is not a show car, nor have I presented it as such. The interior is VERY nice, but it is not original. If you want an all original car, this is NOT it. I have had people look at it and tell me all the money they would have to spend to bring it back to pristine condition. Yes, you could bring it back to pristine, but what about just driving it! When you go by someone at 60mph, or if you at the gas station, if you park it at the grocery store, people simply say, "Wow, what a cool looking Malibu". They ain't gonna complain that the upholstery ain't original, or the wheels ain't original, or the engine ain't original. Most people would love to have this car. My brother in law paid 13,500 for it about 10 years ago, and he spent a lot on it. I know that don't make it worth any more, but I can't take the low ball offers that most are making. Well, that's my rant for the year, so if you are looking an old muscle car to mess with, this is the one.
