Vehicle Detail
Greetings! Up for auction is this nice and clean 1974 CB550K. The bike has been in storage for most of the 14 years I’ve owned it, and currently has 15,700 miles. It’s almost entirely original; tires, battery and kill switch are the only exceptions I know of. It does run but will need some TLC, it’s been stored too long! I just replaced the battery and fired it up for the first time in three years; It runs, but will need a once-over. It’s idling rough so will likely need some carb. cleaning/work, possibly a tune. All turn signals, horn, headlight, electric start, taillight, brake light are working. The title is clear. I’ve replaced several parts, including: Carb rebuild approx. 2010 New tires, approx. 2014 Spark plugs, air filter approx. 2014 Oil filter, new oil, 2014 Starter button/kill switch housing, 2017 Battery 2017 I had a liner sewn into the original seat cover at a boat upholstery shop around 2010; the outer cover has a small split (see photo), but it’s not through to the foam rubber, just to the liner. The gas tank was sealed at a vintage bike shop, it still looks like new on the inside. Also included are some hard to find NOS parts for the bike; front and rear brake pads, a plate with points and condensers, and 2 turn signal assemblies. Finally, the auction also includes a service manual AND a nice cover! The bike is being sold AS-IS with no warranty expressed or implied; she does run but will need some attention. The bike is located in Boulder, CO and I am willing to work with out of state buyers to facilitate shipping. All arrangements and costs are the buyers responsibility. Check out the pictures and let me know if you need any other information. Thanks for looking! I added some fresh gas and fired it up again last night; it's running much better now. I've just uploaded a video: https://youtu.be/vCwtEZBZyIU Please check it out and bid with confidence! Finally, the fuel petcock was also replaced with a NOS part in 2014, I'd forgotten that one.
