Our Current ListingsAbout CABS Classics 1968 Chevrolet Impala SSScroll to bottom for more pictures Car Details First this is my personally owned car, not brokered like the majority of our auctions. You'll be bidding on a true survivor 1968 Chevrolet Impala SS with a numbers matching 327 engine. Original build sheet with the Z03 Super Sport option. The known car history tells us the car was in Florida in 1989 with a documented 88k original miles. By the turn of the century the car was in the Kansas City area. By 2012 the car was in southwest Missouri where I purchased it last year. I've put approx. 7k into the car since I bought the car. Here's where most of that 7k went -New front upper and lower ball jointsNew front wheel cylinders, brake lines, shoes, and hardwareNew sway bar bushings and strut rod bushingsNew energy suspension sway bar end linksNew OER fuel tank and new sending unitNew KYB shocks front and rearNew valve cover gasketsNew trunk, door, and roof rail weatherstripping New fuel pump and pump to carb fuel lineNew hood insulationNew belts New battery and battery trayNew plugs and wiresNew headliner and rear package trayNew vinyl topRebuilt Rochester carbMostly all new exhaust with Flowmaster series 44 mufflersFresh coat of Ermine White single stage urethane paintExterior - Car was originally Grecian Green but is now Ermine White, the color it was when I purchased it. The car just got a fresh coat of paint. Tires are BF Goodrich Radial TA's, 235/70R15's, with good tread. The car has a brand new vinyl top. All the correct emblems and trim are on the car. Trunk was speckle painted and has a new trunk mat and good spare. The trunk floor is solid. Interior - The rear seat was removed, cleaned up, and has new foam. New sound deadener was installed under the seat. The rest of the deadener kit will come with the car. A new headliner and rear package tray were put in. The bucket seats had the backs painted and new aprons put on. They will need covered or reupholstered; especially drivers seat. (stitching) Car has a new console lid, just needs attached. All new indoor door handles, window cranks, and door panel carpet. Dash looks great with all gauges currently working. Engine/Misc. - The car has a numbers matching 327 engine. If it's set for awhile it might take a minute for the new mechanical fuel pump to get gas to the carb but once it does the car starts right up. Fresh antifreeze, oil, plugs and plug wires. Recently replaced a freeze plug. The Rochester carb was rebuilt. Exhaust pipes were cut just below the manifolds with all new pipes and new Series 44 Flowmasters from there. The factory air doesn't work. I bought the car with the intent to flip it so haven't had the air diagnosed. We do our best to inspect vehicles we sell in detail and note any imperfections in our listings. Despite this we cannot guarantee that every gauge, light, option, etc., will work as it should. Given the nature of the classics we sell these components can be working at one moment and not working at another moment. It's common these types of components will need upkeep or attention. Unless otherwise noted the classics we sell are mileage-exempt, meaning we do not know the actual, original miles. The information listed is based on the current odometer reading and cannot be used as fact. Most of these vehicles do not have Carfax or similar history reports, unless the vehicle is 1981 or newer. We always recommend shipping the vehicle versus a long road trip. We work with the best shippers and will be glad to assist you in getting your new investment to your garage. Check out our feedback and bid with confidence. Inspections are welcomed an encouraged by appointment.
