Vehicle Detail
Up for No Reserve Auction is a 1988 Honda NC24 VFR 400. The bike is a pleasure to ride and has the durability of a Cam Gear Train V4. These earlier NC models are easily among the best sounding bikes ever produced. The later NC30's and NC35's exhaust notes are pedestrian by comparison. This particular example is jetted spot on and pulls linearly though the power range with no noticeable dips in power. It charges strong out of the corner and hurtles you off to the next. It feels well planted in the tightest of turns. 1988 NC24 VFR400 Test - YouTube Video will open in a new window [isdntekvideo] Ebay may have made it impossible to embed the video of this bike running up the road. If so, please visit my YouTube channel, Israel Gillette , and find 1988 NC24 VFR400 Test, to watch the clip. When I originally got this bike it was missing its mirrors. I sourced an OEM set which are now installed (though not properly adjusted in the video). The fairings are original, but they have been repainted. The wheels are in good shape and it also has the original VFR emblazoned seat. It's a sharp looking bike in most regards, and you will get plenty of attention from other riders in the mountains/canyons. I just remembered that it is missing its speedometer cable. I am willing to sell the one from my other NC24 if the buyer likes, however, finding one on Ebay UK shouldn't be a problem. This is a grey market import, but it is a classic and registration is possible in all 50 States. It will come with a British title, and copies of the import/customs paperwork. For those of you concerned about the registration process I am willing to have it tagged/titled in Tennessee for a $600 service fee. This is a No Reserve Auction and the bike will sell to the highest bidder. Someone will get a very good deal, but please, please, please only bid if you are serious about owning the motorcycle and are able to complete the sale in a timely manner. I ask that the winning bidder contact me, and pay a $200 deposit, within 24 hours of auction's end. I am willing to hold the motorcycle for up to a month, assuming that the bike has been paid for, while shipping is arranged. I may also be able to provide shipping if the buyer desires, ask for a quote. Thank you, and happy bidding!
