2006 Saab 9-3 Aero I am selling this car for a relative, but have been the sole driver for the last two months and 1,000 miles. This 4-door, dark blue, non-smoker, 2.8 liter V 6 sedan has the rare 6-speed manual transmission and is a wonder to drive. Very fast, and with great handling, this is a very responsive and fun to drive car, whether for effortless day to day commuting, or for enthusiastic weekend driving. The car was top of the line and included every available option at the time, with the exception of the stereo / information system which was midline of the three options, and does not include navigation. The electrical and mechanical operation of the car is as it should be with no engine noise, burning of oil or decreased performance. The car passed a California emissions test on July 3, 2017. The transmission operates smoothly with no whine when either accelerating or decelerating in any gear. There is no apparent noise or compromised handling when cornering, accelerating or braking with respect to bushings, control arms, motor mounts, etc. Apart from the drive train, I must note the following: The A/C currently does not work. I am not clear on whether a solenoid or compressor replacement is needed, or simply a refrigerant recharge. The drivers- side rear window does not operate, and is “propped up / closed.”The FOB does not lock or unlock the drivers’ side door properly without setting off the alarm, and I have been using the manual key to access the car.When the car is started, the information system indicates that the windshield washer fluid level is low and needs to be refilled, although in practice, that is not the case, and the system operates properly. The information display can be easily cleared, and a replacement washer fluid sensor will be included with the car.The 6 disc music CD compact disc player works, although if the CD contains more than 60 to 65 minutes of music, the first few songs may skip. The front spoiler is damaged. It is split on one side, and has a number of abrasions. Occasionally, when driving slowly over a speed bump, the spoiler rattles. Cosmetically, there are a number of scratches and abrasions on and below the front bumper. There are scratches on one corner of the rear bumper above the right exhaust pipe as well. There is a 12” X 12” patch of faded paint on top near the sunroof. The car is dent free, and still looks very good from 10 feet away. There is some wear and cracking on the drivers’ leather seat, but the other seats, rug, dashboard and door panels look very good. I would describe the overall physical condition of the car as good, with the mechanical system and drivability as excellent. No customization from stock. The car was owned by my relative since 2013 and purchased at a San Jose, CA dealership. The dealership had purchased the car prior, from the original owner.
