Here is a 1980 Scout 4x4 equipped with an inline 6 cylinder, 3.2L Turbo Diesel motor which runs great, and a 4 speed manual transmission. This is a two owner vehicle, has lived in northern California it's whole life. The body has some dents as well as some rust in the rockers and fenders, please see pictures. The rig was repainted at some point many years ago, this was not a professional job. The interior is in decent shape, the front seats are not original, the rear seat has splits and tears, the dash has some cracks, the headliner is missing the fabric and the original carper is worn and faded, please see pictures. Most of the gauges work. This Scout has factory AC and it is all intact, the fan inside works, however the belt has been off the compressor for many years. All of the glass is good, one small chip in the windshield. The lock on the tailgate does not always latch, however the hard top lid works just fine. We have all of the original Scout manuals.The engine starts right up and purrs, all bone stock and original, never modified in any way! We believe this Scout has 95k original miles because of how well the motor starts&runs, but have no way to prove that. There is also a custom dual fuel filter set up in the engine bay on top of the factory one. The motor was just serviced with fresh motor oil&filter, new fuel&air filters installed and fresh fluid in both differentials and transfer case. The transmission shifts smooth, fresh fluid as well! The tires are in decent shape, old and mounted on factory steel wheels.
