Vehicle Detail

’95 Volkswagen Eurovan Winnebago Camper TDI conversion / manual Complete my project, when the 5 cylinder stock engine failed in my ’95 Eurovan automatic I decided to convert it to a TDI with a manual transmission. After a lot of research I enlisted the help of Justin Soars and Grease Works of Corvallis, OR. to do the heavy lifting on the job. They did a fine job, just 5,225 miles driven since conversion. Now I find that life has had me involved with other things and for a couple of years the van has been on the back burner, and camping is low on the priority list for me. Time for someone else to get some use and finish the project. The last major thing to be done was to replace the badly cracked up pop top which I now realize I will never get to. I am pricing well below what I have invested so someone can afford to replace the pop top and have some fun with it. Winnebago can supply a new top for about $5000.00 or I’m sure there are other options out there. There are quite a few spare parts, Shady Boy awning (installed) , Eurovan Airvent Cab Window Set, two stock tables and a marine access storage door in rear.and four qts. of transmission fluid (German Transaxle preference). I plugged into shore power and the Norcold fridge got cold. Included is a Spacemaker Tunnel Driveaway Tent that was never used. The paint job is twenty one years old so there are nicks and dings. The windshield has a crack in one corner that was there when I bought the van. Seats are in good shape and had seat covers since purchased. It has a dent on the right rear corner (see photo) no effect on operation of hatch etc. It runs fine but if it were me I would have a trusted mechanic give it a good going over before I would set out on the road. Work done by Grease Works *Engine:1.91 AHU diesel with K03 turbocharger *changed out instrument cluster with used VW TDI cluster mileage on replacement odometer - 208348 mi. current mileage 213573, so 5225 miles driven since conversion. *Stage II Malone tune set for low smoke and low EGTs with Bosio DLC 1019 injectors. *Bosch starter *Dash mounted ScanGauge II *Dash mounted EGT (exhaust temp) gauge. *Block heater installed in engine water jacket, 120v/400W. *16” Go Westy wheel & tire package *Lift and level *upper and lower ball joints *stabilizer link L/R *Transmission: Manual 5 speed CPW 02B rebuilt by German Transaxle of America with euro 4.235 R&P *Clutch installed Misc. items changed out •LED internal camper lighting. •Rear access hatch door for storage. •Recent new battery for engine. •Nakamichi TD-35z Cassette radio •Propane tank refinished and replaced valves and hoses a while back. IMPORTANT NOTE: I have gotten questions that make it clear I should say a few things about this vehicle. The pop top needs to be replaced, it is very cracked up and moisture has leaked in making the top very heavy and difficult to open, it can be done but not easily, The pop top needs to be replaced! I keep a tarp over it. This is a 1995 vehicle, and has been sitting for a couple of years, if you are not mechanically inclined or know someone who is, this may not be what your looking for. I enjoy this sort of challenge but life has presented me with other priorities and I realize that I will not be getting around to continuing it and I hate the thought of it slowly going down hill out of neglect. The cost of the conversion was well over the price I have posted. I am not trying to trick or deceive anyone, this is an “AS IS” sale. The vehicle may go forever or for twenty miles, there are no guarantees being offered or implied. Sold as is. $500.00 non-refundable PayPal deposit due at end of auction. PAYMENT MUST CLEAR BANK BEFORE RELEASE OF VEHICLE & TITLE. No bids accepted from 0 or heavy negative feedback bidders. Buyer is responsible for pick-up or shipping of this vehicle. I reserve the right to end auction at any time as the van is for sale locally also.On Jun-19-17 at 13:49:25 PDT, seller added the following information: Any idea how many miles that diesel had when installed? Also did they get the AC hooked up as well? Thanks,Jim It was a complete rebuild, Do a search for "Grease Works Shop Notes" and you can get an idea of what kind of work they did. This blog goes back for several years. The A/C is hooked up and worked but I never used it so not sure if it still has juice or not.
