Private seller offers a late 2004 BMW R1100S, a complete and excellent example of this classic modern sport tourer. I am the second owner, bought it in 2007 from first owner in Boise, Idaho who bought it as a leftover 2004 in 2005. It has had very little city use, mostly country in Idaho, and myself in Illinois and Wisconsin. Scrupulously maintained by Gina's BMW in Iowa City, Iowa. All services up to date, tires new in 2015, virtually unused since then. No stories about the bike, never dropped, no body damage or repair. I had Ohlins shocks installed when I bought it, done by a professional suspension tuner in Suburban Chicago, tuned for me, a 185 lb male, 5'10". Original shocks furnished with the bike. There are rubber pads on tank that were there when I bought the bike, good quality, look pretty good so I left them on. The optional wide rear wheel was installed when I bought the bike, along with new tires. This model is the late engine with dual plug heads, catalytic converter, a couple of other minor details. It has heated grips, and a simple mechanical aftermarket speed control, German made. Also added a carbon fiber rear fender, also German made, same quality as OEM front. Included in the offering is the factory bag setup, with Kathy's Journey bag liners, city lids, all original tools on the bike, and a complete tool roll with additional tools in the large Kathy's Journey tool roll matching the liners. Additionally, there is a set of Raingear, including wetsuit, overboots, and overgloves, unused. Also included is a set of Gerbing heated clothing, jacket and pant liner, wiring, rheostat unit, miscellaneous connectors, never used. A Banker's Box with a variety of spares, tools, bits and bobs accumulated during the ownership, and an OEM tank bag and smaller aftermarket bag are included as well. I am selling due to space constraints, time limitations and little recent use, last licensed in 2015, round the block occasionally. This bike is genuinely a really beauty - I bought the best one I could find, kept it in first class shape, now time for another careful and appreciative owner. The bike is located in far northwest Illinois, can trailer within reasonable distance for mileage and trailer rent. Clean Illinois title. There is a reasonable reserve on the bike for this auction, inclusive of the bike and the accessories. Full payment is expected before pickup or delivery, wire transfer is preferred. Will export.
