If you love Gran Torinos, like I do, this is THE year and body style to own. Clint Eastwood agreed, when he chose a similar 1972 Sportsroof (fastback) in his Movie "Gran Torino". The Sportsroof was only available in the first two years of production, 1972/73. 1972 was the only year without the ugly 5mph bumpers and revised grille.This is an Arizona rust free car with a straight body. Paint is the correct "Pewter" color. The restored interior has the original bucket seats and center console.The Original 351 Cleveland engine has a 600cfm Edelbrock 4bl carb and aluminum manifold with Hooker headers. It runs and idles smoothly with no smoke. It has been detailed with matching ribbed air cleaner and valve covers. The wiring is detailed with blue covering. The Original C-4 transmission has low miles on the rebuild and shifts smoothly. Front disc brakes are new. Monroe air shocks are on the rear. The AC blows cold with a late model compressor using the current 134A coolant. The Alpine stereo with power amp sounds beautiful with either CDs or cassette tapes. Optional 15" Gran Torino wheels have been installed with near new B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A tires. Original 14" wheels are included. Protection is with a Prestige security system.Now is a great time to buy this beautiful cruiser. Clean 1972 Sportsroofs are becoming scarce, and will continue to appreciate.
