Here is the deal, I bought this 1975 Honda xl250 from the original owner two years ago. It had sat in a shop for several years before I got it. I did the normal things to fire the bike up..carb kit, plug, air filter, battery. The left engine side cover was leaking oil, a new gasket has fixed that. I always had a hard time starting this bike....kick and kick and kick..never did figure out what the deal was, but could get it going and rode it in the back yard and had it licensed for the street. I will selling this bike as "non-running", I just pulled it out from under a tarp and washed it up. The pictures are from today. The gas will be siphoned out and I am not going to try to start it. For a forty-two year old bike it is in very nice condition. The original owner had a 12-volt headlight in it, I replaced it with the correct 6-volt and found there is some wiring that seemed rigged. I purchased a used, but complete front harness that is included. Also included: new rear tire, service manual, owners manual, original tool kit, a clear Illiniois title, and a couple take off parts. I have not given this bike the attention it deserves, so here is a chance for someone to capture the Honda 1970's dual sport motorcycle spirit, I can answer question at 618-781-9580, thanks for looking, Mike.
