Up for auction is a low miles 1970 Mercury Cougar in bright Blue. The car has 77,430 original miles, it runs & drives like new and has always been well maintained & garaged. The car was purchased new by Mr. T. Davis on 10-4-69 from Walt Housley Ford in Pullman Washington. (The original dealer license plate surround is on the rear license plate as it was when new.) The original purchaser sales documents, protecto plate, owners manual, build sheet, trim sheet and various misc owners docs come with the car. This car has had only three owners from new and it shows. The drive train is a 351 W 2V C4 transmission and 300 open rear gear set. This Cougar has zero rust, the body is straight, and all door, hood and trunk gaps are nice. It had one repaint years ago and the paint is showing some ageing with a few nicks and very small chips, but it looks very good for a driver. The interior is very nice showing very little ware, no cracks in the dash pad and all trim is bright. New LED bulbs were installed in the gauge pod and a replacement factory appearing tack was installed in the clock delete bucket in the dash. (Nice) Other new installations are: Fuel tank & sending unit float, New Shocks, Replaced all external marker & signal bulbs, Installed new flasher sequencer with a new digital unit, New AC compressor, AC idler pulley bearings and expansion valve. (The AC blows cold.) New Wheels and tires have also been installed and the car shows very well. I'm listing this beautiful little Cougar for a friend and will take all questions to him.
