We are selling this beautiful 1999 BMW Z3 2.5 !!! This BMW Z3 is in immaculate condition. It is obvious that it was and continues to be garage kept. The car starts right up, and runs and drives perfectly. The transmission shifts as it should. The brakes stop well. And it runs down the road straight and true. We are a wholesaler and make our living buying and selling cars through the dealer auctions. We only retail the best, cleanest units we get to the public.It is finished in a beautiful and classy Artic Silver paint that still maintains its shine. The beautiful Black leather interior looks to be well kept tidy and clean there are no appreciable signs of wear except for a tiny imperfection in the driver’s seat bottom. This particular BMW z3 has only traveled115k miles in its pampered life. These BMW Z3 convertibles are extremely sought after and have sort of a cult following. Not that many cars have a fan club dedicated to them with chapter’s nationwide events etc. They turn heads wherever they go, and they offer the unbeatable combination of luxury, precise German engineering and performance, combined with the open air motoring experience. This particular example is absolutely loaded. Standard features include Power windows, locks, mirrors, single din BMW CD player, power seats, heated seats, anti lock brakes, cruise control, air conditioning, and a power convertible top that still works as it should. (I have video to prove it). These cars started their lives as movie stars being introduced to the public via the James Bond film Goldeneye. However the original 97 – 99 z3’s were powered by a 1.9 liter 4 cylinder engine sourced from the meek 318i. It could only muster 117 horsepower and had a 0-60 time of 10 seconds flat, about equivalent to a mid 80’s Pontiac sedan. All z3’s are based on a modified e36 chassis, so most e36 engines and drivetrain options bolt right in. BMW quickly realized that although aesthetically the z3 was a rockstar, it didn’t have the power or performance that a true driving enthusiast expected. BMW decided to rectify that problem in 1999 with the debut of the “facelifted” z3. BMW took the original z3 design to the next level and implanted the 2.8 liter m52 powerplant from the 328i raising the power output of this little 2 seat sports car to 192 horsepower and 206 ft lbs of torque. 0-60 was now a brisk 6.6 seconds. Several other modifications were made, including the most obvious one – Wide body fender arches – if you look at a 4cyl z3 v/s a 6cyl z3 you will realize that the fender arches are about 3” wider on a 6 cyl. This gives the car a much more muscular and sporty appearance similar to how the turbo Porsche 911’s stand out from there naturally aspirated Carrera siblings. They also added a Torsen limited-slip differential, leather seats (4 cyl versions have vinyl seats) , an on-board computer, 16-inch wheels and automatic stability control.Getting back to our featured car here, the car presents itself as near brand new. If it wasn’t for a little ding on the trunk, as well as some minor wear around the convertible top window if I told you this was a 2014 instead of a 1999 you would NOT question it. There are no check engine lights, strange noises or issues. The engine is quiet, smooth and powerful. The transmission shifts as it should, and the car feels very planted and sure footed on the road. The tires have very good tread. The NJ chapter president of the z3 club happens to be a good friend of mine, and when I got this car in I invited him over to the shop to get his opinion / advice on the car. He remarked that it was the cleanest z3 he had seen in years, and that it should command quite a premium.The carpets have been protected since day one and I have the original carpet mats, as well as the convertible top boot, and even the original BMW spare tire bag.No expense was ever spared maintaining this BMW z3 ensuring years of trouble free operation in the future. It has been professionally detailed on a regular basis and hand washed religiously in between. This car represents an extraordinary value. Any inspections must take place on site at our facility, and be concluded before the end of the auction. NJ residents MUST pay 7% sales tax in addition to the winning price of the bid. No exceptions. Out of state residents must pay their own taxes when they go to register the car in their local municipality. All purchasers (including dealers) must pay a $199 documentation fee, which covers the cost of overnight mail and title transfer, ebay fees etc. Temporary vehicle tags are available to both in state and out of state residents, they cost $25. Non-resident temp tags are valid for 20 days from the date of issuance. Resident temp tags are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance. All cars are sold as-is where is with no warranty expressed or implied. All retail customers will be obligated to sign an as-is where is acknowledgement as part of the purchase paperwork.
