Up for bid is my Daughter's VTR 250. She has chosen not to ride anymore and I am listing it for her. It is a V-Twin water cooled 4 cycle motor with twin carburetors. It is largely original except for the turn signals and muffler. The muffler is a Yoshimura slip on unit. This is a very strong 250 and has no problem running at highway speeds. The engine does not smoke and runs smoothly. It has a 6 speed transmission that shifts through the gears with no issues. Everything works on the bike and it is ready to ride. The tires, chain, brakes, suspension, seat and exterior panels are all in good shape. The paint is shiny and free of any damage. The fuel tank is free of rust. The bike is now stored in my garage with synthetic fuel in the tank to prevent any stale gas issues. The fuel has a 5 year shelf life and costs over $5 a quart, but it is better than having to remove and clean out the carbs. I have done this twice and didn't enjoy it either time. It starts right up and runs good. I have an extra seat for the bike that was custom made for shorter riders. I also have a Shop Manual for the bike. I put a new battery on the bike last year. I have included a picture of this bike next to my 2011 CBR 250R. I have since sold the CBR, but I always felt like the VTR was faster than it was.
