This 2003 Jaguar XJ8 was in very nice condition. It is obvious that it was and continued to be garage kept. The car starts right up, and runs and drives well. The transmission shifts as it should. The brakes stop well. And it runs down the road straight and true. We are a wholesaler and make our living buying and selling cars through the dealer auctions. We only retail the best, cleanest units we get to the public. It is finished in a beautiful and classy radiance red paint that still maintains its shine. The beautiful tan leather interior looks to be well kept tidy and clean there are only mild signs of wear. This particular Jaguar has only traveled 133k miles in its life. These Jaguars are extremely sought after. They turn heads wherever they go, and they offer the unbeatable combination of style, class, and performance along with being a phenomenal value in the used car market. This is the last year of the x308 body style “classic” Jaguars. This particular example is well equipped. Its features include Leather Seats, Power windows, locks, mirrors, automatic transmission, anti lock brakes, cruise control, climate control moonroof etc. Jaguars have the best interiors in the business, hands down – acres of beautifuly polished wood and supple leather. So now we get to the story of this car. This car was damaged in a minor fender bender by one of our employees, who will remain nameless. Due to the fact that we have a $1000 deductible on our dealer insurance policy, and the damage is minimal we chose not to report the incident to our insurance company and just absorb the loss. Every dealer has an occasional car that they will lose money on and here's ours. Our loss can be your gain. I have taken detailed pics but here’s what the car needs: Driver Front Fender Replaced Driver Front door Bodyworked or replaced – it is saveable with a decent metalwork guy. Missing Jaguar Emblem on fender Hood Needs a repaint due to paint fading I have sourced the parts here on ebay – specifically the fender and a good used door for approximately $300.00. All of these parts are bolt on and there is no cutting / welding etc required, this would be a VERY easy project. Spend a weekend swapping the fender and hanging the door, and then send it off to the body shop for paint and you will have a beautiful car. IF you shop around for deals on used parts, and have a reasonable body shop to do the paint it should cost you under $1000 to get this beautiful car back on the road. This car books for over $5500.00 in good condition. This car also has a clean and clear transferable title. It is NOT a salvage or junk title or anything like that. Mechanically our inspection has found the following: Driver Power seat is inop – generally this is due to cold solder joints in the seat module. There are DIY guides I can point you to to resolder the traces and bring the seat back to life. Car has an intermittent check engine light – Code P1697 – bank 2 rear 02 sensor. Slight oil leak from the valve cover like every Jaguar 4.0 – just a gasket replacement needed. Overall it’s a VERY nice car especially for the year. (declared damage excluded). I would rate it a 7.5 /10 overall and I’m VERY picky with cars. I tend to be overly critical and under describe cars, but I’d rather you be impressed when you get your new car rather than disappointed due to the unrealistic descriptions that many dealers offer. These cars come to us from new car dealerships and do not always include everything that would come with a brand new car. We do not always have spare keys, floor mats, keyless entry fobs, owner's manuals or other small accessories. If these things are important to you please ASK beforehand. These cars are used and we get them as they are. We sell our cars WAY below retail values and as such cannot afford to add accessories or other things after the sale is completed. We DO get wholesale pricing on most items and work, so if you would like something we can usually get it done at a better price. Please understand that you are bidding to buy this car. All inspections are welcome but they must occur on our lot unless otherwise pre arranged, All inspections / test drives must occur BEFORE the auction is over. Overall we have had very good experiences on ebay, however recently we have had a few bidders who have had the impression that a winning bid means they can come check out the car and decide if they like it and or viewing their bid as a starting point for negotiations. Please understand that we expect prompt payment in full. I have no problem holding cars on our lot until shipping carriers pick them up, or it's convenient for you to come pick them up, but we expect the car to be paid, in full within 7 business days of the auction closing. Now onto the legal stuff: Status Motors of NJ LLC is a licensed, bonded, and insured used car dealer in the state of New Jersey. Our retail lot is located at 69 Groveville Road, (corner of Rt 130 and Groveville Road) in Bordentown, NJ. NJ residents MUST pay 7% sales tax in addition to the winning price of the bid. No exceptions. Out of state residents must pay their own taxes when they go to register the car in their local municipality. All purchasers (including dealers) must pay a $199 documentation fee which covers the cost of overnight mail and title transfer. Temporary vehicle tags are available to both in state and out of state residents, they cost $25. Non resident temp tags are valid for 20 days from the date of issuance. Resident temp tags are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance. All cars are sold as-is where is with no warranty expressed or implied. All retail customers will be obligated to to sign an as-is where is acknowledgement as part of the purchase paperwork. Please be advised that pictures and descriptions provided are in order to best describe vehicle. Buyer should expect to find 'normal wear' that would be consistent with the vehicles age and mileage. Older vehicles may show undercarriage rusting consistent with vehicles age and mileage. When a vehicle is being offered in an 'As Is' condition, any description of the vehicle's mechanical running condition pertains only to the condition at the time of ebay listing and does not guarantee the vehicle's future running condition.
