Vehicle Detail

This motorcycle got sold here last week, only the high-bid buyer was not able to follow through on this transaction. For this reason you have again the opportunity to get hold of this neat piece of history. That the dawn of motoring actually took place in France is a fact where not many people are familiar with. A little history about the make; Terrot was one of those French motorcycle pioneer (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrot) which manufacturer was over the years very well known for their high quality motorcycles, but also for the many races they have won. The company was based in Dijon and was in business from the year 1887 until the early 1960's.More information about this make, models, factory etc. can be seen in very interesting video (don't miss out on this, in French language, but ever such a nice documentary!); https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sy2bOtZdXSQ This rare Terrot MTRS model has been sleeping under dry conditions for a long period oftime and has because of this been preserved pretty well. The paint is old and is showing apart from a few dings some traces of use and age (patina). The twin-port engine is spinning free, the gearbox shifts without any problem and has all gears present. Both tires have recently been renewed, as the old ones were completely shot/dried out. I haven't made any attempts to get it running, but everything is in place where the engine spins free and has good compression. An utmost rare feature to this bike is that the kick-starter operates to the front, thus must be kicked into the opposite direction. Furthermore, for your own and other people's safety, the complete bike should be checked through completely in case you would like to bring it back on the road again. With the bike is a brand new chain that is still packed in grease in order to keep it new as long as the bike is not in use. If you want it is not a problem to put it on, just let me know. Like can be seen the antique crash helmet is still with it (see images), for sure this authentic accesoirie is by todays standards unfit to be uses as protection, but is a great original item to keep with the bike, or to be hung against the wall for display. Regarding parts; if you want I can help you to the links of several online sellers that are specialized in antique motorcycle parts and accesories and are offering many parts for this make/these type of machines. This motorcycle comes with an official European Certificate of Origin, which document will be issued in your name and states the make, model, year of manufacture, displacement, weight etc, plus an official bill of sale from my company here in Belgium. Furthermore I’ll make sure that all the correct export-paperwork will be in place before the bike leaves from here, which documents will make the process of importing it into the US an easy ride. -On this listing I’m offering a special (fully sealed) crate, careful packing and physical shipping from here in Belgium to a US CFS as close as possible to you at my expense, meaning that I will pay for having the bike crated and all handling etc. plus the ocean-freight charge, where you are responsible for all charges at your (US) end, like entry-, port-, handling- and broker-fees etc.If you want any additional information about this, please ask before you place a bid. Furthermore, when you want to receive some better photo's of the bike/shipping, or want to recieve more information about this item, just let me know. Payments can be made either by wire, credit-card or PayPal. -Additional information to this listing; I only offer shipping by sea, where of course we can advise you on forehand about the process of importing the machine into your country and can help you to the contact-details of an ever so experienced US import-broker. When you are the high-bid buyer, I will ship this machine at my expense from here to one of the following Canadian destinations (container freight station-depot); -Calgary ALB-Charlottetown PEI-Edmonton ALB-Halifax, NS-Moncton NB-Montreal-Ottawa ONT-Quebec City QUE-Regina SAS-St. John's NF-Toronto Vancouver BC-Winnipeg MAN ..To one of over 60 US destinations, Or to another destination on this planet (please check whether I can ship to there before you place a bid). For Canadian buyers, check this link regarding importation; https://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/motorvehiclesafety/safevehicles-importation-1338.htm For US buyers, like can be read in the link, this antique bike is because of age exempt from US import-duty and EPA regulations; https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/278/~/importing-classic-or-antique-vehicles-%2F-cars-for-personal-use The crate will safely sail in a sealed container and the shipment is fully insured for eventual damage/loss.I always pack vehicles myself, only use certified crates plus new packing-materials and deliver the crated machines in person at the Antwerp warehouse of the shipping-company (see images) Furthermore I pay for having every shipment insured against damage or loss during the complete process of handling and sailing. Of course I will inform you about the complete process of shipping and provide you all the information you need from the beginning on and send you pictures of the process of packing and actual delivery at the Antwerp port as soon as these processes are completed. The bike will be shipped shortly after the full payment has arrived, I will inform you straight away about the upcoming sailings to the destination were it needs to be shipped to, in order that you can indicate which crossing/time of arrival suits you best (in 99.9% of the cases it can be with you within a month after arrival of the payment).
