Vehicle Detail

This car has been an "on again/off again" project of mine. Unfortunately, due to a variety of personal issues, I must part with this car. As to what makes it a "project" for me - the emissions system currently returns a P0171/P0174 code. Look them up. These are probably the two most common emissions codes returned on these vehicles. Since both codes pop, I'm inclined to think it is likely a vacuum leak of some type. If you are a better troubleshooter than I am - this could be an easy fix that will put you in the drivers seat of a fun little convertible this spring, for not a lot of money. Note: This issue DOES NOT prevent the car from running. Here is a list of some things I've done recently: Replaced the CCV valve and hoses, rebuilt and re-gasketed the DISA valve (variable intake runner valve), replaced the throttle body intake gasket, replaced the intake boot, cleaned the MAF with CRC, cleaned the IAC valve, changed the air filter and sparkplugs, changed the oil and filter. I also have a small sensor (that reads coolant temp) that needs to be plugged in - I just haven't had the chance to do it. As for the rest of the car: it car shows appropriate "wear and tear" for its age, with the only real issue being the pump that raises the convertible top automatically. If you know these cars, you know the top pumps go bad - it's inevitable - it's the way they were designed. For me, this is not a big problem - as the power locking/unlocking mechanism works fine, and the top takes 5 seconds to put up or take down manually. The top itself is in good condition and has no holes, rips or tears. If you really want to replace the pump - they can be purchased for a few hundred bucks and will take a weekend mechanic about a weekend to replace. I just don't feel the need. The interior is in good shape, with no rips or tears in the leather. Carpets look good. Stereo CD player works perfectly, and all other electronics are in working order. Windshield and back window are good. New beauty trim on the windshield. CARFAX can be emailed for serious buyers.
