Orig sales order sheet in hand Title in hand Now the Bad: 1)This Generation of Tacoma was susceptible to 3rd gear synchro goin bad! this one has a compromised 3rd gear synchro..what does that mean? If you slam it into 3rd gear you will hear a little grind noise, if you shift it like a manual should be shifted there is no issue, no noise, smooth shift! I drove this truck with trailer in tow up to Nova Scotia last fall and never had any issue, no grinding, no clutch slippage..nothing. A replacement trans can be put in for $2500, I decided to sell as it is, totally drivable without any issues, if you shift the trans the way you should any manual trans. A test drive will ease any concerns re this- guaranteed! 2) Rear main seal has a slow drip and my mechanic just tops up the tranny once a yr when I get it inspected. This is all in the service record for review. No big thang. I can put you intouch with my garage if you wish to discuss the history on this truck- no problem! 3) Paint could use a good buff job, there are some minor scrapes and scratches expected with a vehicle of this age. You clear the service engine light by holding the trip button and turning ignition to ACC for 30 secs. This light lights up to remind owner of oil change intervals, I never cleared it when I changed it last-now its cleared.
