1972 Mercedes Benz 450SL Convertible w/ Hard Top-Project Car. This car runs and drives, but needs work to be road worthy. It cannot be driven home unless you live less than a mile away. The vehicle is located in West Allis, WI and can be viewed prior to auction ending. Contact me at 414-510-3146 if you wish to ask any questions or schedule an appointment to see it. I would recommend viewing it prior to bidding. You are responsible for your bid. Body: The body is very nice, not rusty. The car has been repainted-the paint is presentable but has some flaws. 7.5/10 for body and paint condition. Interior: The car has a blue interior. Some small trim pieces are removed but most are included with the vehicle. The seats, dash and carpet show some wear, flaws and age. 6/10 for condition. Chassis: The floors have had some patches put in, the parcel tray, wheel houses and trunk floor needs some patching but they are not terrible. The suspension is okay-but the right front control arm would need repairing prior to driving it. 5/10 for condition. Engine/Transmission etc: Engine starts and runs well, the transmission works, the vehicle needs a gas tank-it currently uses a small gas can in the trunk for running. The electrical system needs work-several items are unplugged and not operation-such as the radio, power windows, heater controls etc. There are no keys with the car, it is started with a screwdriver. 6/10 for condition. Tops: There is a soft top included that appears to be nice-but it has not been installed. The top bows and components are attached to the car. The hard top is nicer than it looks in the picture. Title: The title is free and clear and is in our dealerships name. For buyers in WI, we are required to collect sales tax and DMV registration fees. For out of state buyers, we simply sign off on the title, and you pay taxes and registration fees in you own state. Payments: We accept cash, Cashier's checks (from local banks) and wire transfers. The wire transfers and cashier's checks must clear the bank prior to the vehicle being released to the buyer. Plan to pay a $500 deposit immediately via Paypal if the auction closes and you are the high bidder. This deposit is not refundable. Full payment is required with 7 days of auction end-no exceptions. Don't bid if you are not able to accept these terms. I recommend viewing the car prior to bidding. Shipping: We can assist your shipping company with loading the vehicle. We do reserve the right to sell the vehicle prior to auction end. There is no reserve.
