Up for sale is a wonderful 1980 Mercedes-Benz 280SL. This is the better looking, more desirable European model. Mercedes never sold this body style with the 2.8l inline six in the United States. This Mercedes has 180,987 miles on the odometer.Interior: The interior of this car is in fair condition. The seats are not perfect, the carpet looks good and the rear seats are in wonderful condition. The windows roll up and down as they should and the wood looks quite good but has some cracking (patina). The convertible top is in WONDERFUL condition.Paint and body: The paint is not wonderful on this car. The hood has some rippling in it and the paint is in average condition. The hardtop is in good condition. The car will come with $1800 worth of new hoses and tires.Overall this is a wonderful car and I hate to see it go. With little time and effort this could be a great car. The inline six has plenty of power and gets around 30mpg, something you would never see in the equivalent US models.
